So here we are into Week 2 of Reinvest In You. The purpose of this 4 part series is to help you:
- Uplift your energy
- Up-level your confidence
- Up-level just how you see the world
This is so very important because we know through science that everything is energy (I discuss this in the first video of the series which you can watch here). So what do we need to do? We need to RAISE OUR VIBRATION.
This helps us to create some really great success strategies and habits that we can use no matter what is happening to us, what is happening in our team, or what’s going on with our colleagues or our family.
So, you’ve now walked into your Emotionally Fit Room. How are you doing?
Oftentimes, when we are on that autopilot we forget to ask ourselves “How am I feeling right now?”
The other day, I was reminded that both our Emotionally Fit Room and our Physically Fit Room can join together when I started to feel this pressure on my chest. I briefly thought “what’s that about?” before I got busy in my morning. Later on, I noticed that it was still there and again wondered what was happening.
So what I did was something that is really quite simple, and something that you have most likely done before as well.
I took the time to listen to my mind, and I actually wrote about it. I paused and asked myself these simple questions.
- What’s up?
- How are you feeling?
- What is it you are here to teach me?
And then I started to write my answers. I started to write about how I was feeling, some of my fears, some of the stories I was telling myself, how someone’s behavior was impacting me.
Now, you might not feel the same but for me, owning my power is really getting clear about where in fact I am giving away my power. And where I am allowing other people to rob my power. I was reminded that the key is that:
OTHER PEOPLE DON’T DEFINE ME.
If I get caught up in that herd mentality, as so many people do, the tragedy is about me needing to shine on and be the best version of myself.
So my invitation to you is, for the next seven days, is to pick one activity that is going to have the greatest impact on your emotions. Some things you can try are going to :
- Write in a journal
- Take some quiet time and check-in with yourself
- Finally hire that therapist or that coach
- Join a group to increase your connection, which is so critical right now
