This week, you are entering into your Spiritually Fit Room, with our overarching theme being The Powerhouse Healthy Habits.
Throughout the last month, I’ve been turning to my book The Powerhouse In You: How to lead with greater resilience, courage and confidence, to share with you some great Powerhouse Healthy Habits. In my book, I also have an entire chapter dedicated to your Spiritually Fit Room.
Today however, I want to talk about affirmations. The Power Of Affirmation is HUGE and quickly changes your mindset!
To set you and your team up for success this fall, my invitation to you is to not only create your personal affirmations but to create Team Affirmations as well.
This is great if you have a big project or deadline coming up or a big section of work to do that you know is going to be intense. Ask yourself and your team:
What is it we need in order to step into that? To grow into that?
Rather than have it be a “root canal experience” why not be anchored, be grounded and experience joy and happiness.
There are two words that are the most powerful words in the human language. They are:
I AM
We know they are even more powerful when you add a feeling to it. This makes it so we already lean into the feeling of having already achieved whatever it is you want in that affirmation.
Let me give you an example.
I’m just coming out on the other side of a cold. I don’t know about you but I can sometimes take my health for granted. My affirmation has been:
I am joyfully experiencing optimum health
What you are doing is leaning in to what it is that you really want. We spend so much time focusing on what we don’t want and then we are surprised when that is what we end up getting.
Moving forward, a great Powerhouse Healthy Habit that will help you be more successful, to feel more content, to feel more joy, to feel good in your spirit, is these affirmations.
Hanging in my office is a mirror and that is because I am a huge fan of mirror work. This is something I learned from Louse Hay, author of You Can Heal Your Life. She talks about taking that affirmation on the road and being able to look at yourself eye ball to eyeball in the mirror and not only repeating your affirmation but also feeling it in your being, in your spirit.
So whatever it is you need, whether it is more courage for that dreaded conversation, or more contentment to ease anxiety, or more playness to help you relax, or whatever else you need, to help anchor you with whatever else you are dealing with I invite you to remember the Affirmation Formula:
I + AM + EMOTION + WHATEVER YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE
