Over the last four weeks, we’ve looked at how you can Be Intentional in your Mentally, Emotionally, Physically, and Spiritually Fit Rooms. By now, you understand how setting your intentions can really impact the outcome of interactions whether you are a team leader or a team member.
With the month of December and the craziness of the Holiday Season, just days away, it is a great time to look at self-care. I know this is an area I need to work on and I’m sure I’m not alone. Many of the leaders that I work with who talk about feeling burnt out and “just done” grudgingly admit to not making time for self-care.
When it comes to self-care, there are a few things to remember:
- Be Intentional with self-care like you are with other interactions
- Self-care looks different for everyone and is not just about bubble baths and evenings out with friends
- Scheduling time for self-care makes you a better leader.
- It is important as a leader to model great self-care habits for your team
- It is important as a team member to remember your leader needs to practice self-care too.
The Powerful Journey Team has been working hard to put together an awesome month of content relating to self-care. We are all very excited to bring this to you and hope that you get as much out of it as we have.
Your homework for this week, the entire month of December really, is to share what you learn with your team. If we aren’t already connected on LinkedIn, I encourage you to do so so you don’t miss out on the awesome resources we are putting out in the next month.
Have a great day and remember, you are a POWERHOUSE!
